How can I remove dirt and grime from a loose vintage figure?

This fix is similar to the fix for sticky limbs. All you need is warm water, a mild liquid soap, and a very soft bristled tooth brush. Mix the soap and water until foamy, then dip the figure in the mixture and work it gently with the toothbrush! After you have the dirt off, rinse the figure with warm water and let it dry on a towel.

There… easy as brushing your teeth 🙂

First, we have a very dirty Stormtrooper… Notice the dirt jammed in his eyes and in the stomach detail area.

Here we have the standard cleaning equipment:
Clockwise: Cup of warm water with mild soap, the soap I used, the trooper, and a soft head toothbrush:

Now, after following the instructions above, I have a clean trooper! The whole thing took about 1 minute!

    This can also be achieved using a mild toothpaste and an electric toothbrush (I use my old ‘heads’ for these type of tasks as they are softer from previous use).
